Business Luncheon - Sustainable Value
Join us for a luncheon hosted by the Chamber alongside KPMG and Wine Marlborough on Sustainable Value. Our guest speaker will focus on the following two themes:
The key to long-term and sustained health and safety success is quality leadership and the effective use and maintenance of rigorous processes, systems and tools that focus on improving performance. As a Senior Leader, this equates to the need for clarity around your risk processes, to clearly demonstrate due diligence, and to ensure you are doing all that is 'reasonably practicable' to maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
Business is facing a perfect storm with environmental (water stress and scarcity, energy stress, climate change, biodiversity loss) and social trends (population and demographic changes, shifting consumer wealth, urbanisation). To thrive in a future very different from today, all businesses need to understand how they are impacted and develop strategies to manage the new normal. Charles will present on where Boards and CE’s need to focus their attention within the business to ensure that they are ahead of the game when it comes to New Zealand’s Climate Change Response (Zero Carbon) Amendment Bill and risks posed by climate change.
