Born in the UK, Lee moved to Blenheim in 2004, initially working for pcMedia and is now one of the owners. Lee joined the Chamber board in 2010 and in the last year has participated in many aspects of the Chamber. These have included the successful lobbying for cost effective fibre for the business community and establishing the CBD Group which now has over fifty members who regularly attend meetings.
Lee is passionate about IT and worked in the UK as an IT manager for a large mail order company which employed over 100 staff and ran a chain of shops. This was the first company to implement many innovations and won several accolades for IT. In 2001 the company was taken over and Lee decided on a career change so he purchased part of a restaurant and retrained as a chef.
The restaurant participated in the East of England’s Business Excellence Awards in 2003, being a category winner. Lee is an advocate for Business Excellence and the Baldrige Criteria which provides the framework for excellence in business. As part of the Board he assists in organising the Business Excellence Awards. Innovation and business excellence are cornerstones of pcMedia and the company is the current sponsor of the innovation category.
