JACQUELINE (JACKI) EVES-WOOLLEY
Jacki was born and raised in Marlborough and moved away to attend university. She has lived in Auckland, Japan and until recently Wellington. Jacki has worked as a policy analyst and legal adviser to various Government departments, an organisational performance auditor with the Office of the Controller and Auditor General, legal counsel at the Commerce Commission, and most recently as the senior legal counsel to a gas industry owned regulatory body. She has degrees from Massey and Victoria Universities.
Returning to Marlborough in March 2013 to be closer to family she joined Wain & Naysmith Lawyers Ltd where her practice includes relationship property, family, property, employment and company law. She is currently vice President of the Marlborough Branch of the NZ Law Society, has been a member of the Wellington Branch and their public and commercial law committees, and an executive member of the national body representing the some 6000 in-house lawyers in New Zealand.
Jacki has extensive knowledge and experience in working with central and local government including legislative and rule drafting, working with Chief Executives, Select Committees, Ministers, and regulators. She has a strong background in public, administrative, competition and energy law and interest in corporate governance issues. Having returned to Marlborough she is keen to get involved in the community and the development of the region.
